September 14th, 2007phpLD Deep Links MOD - Easy 1 step install
This is a one step install of the deep links mod. It is assumed that the defaut template is used. If you use another template you can still use this easy install and then modify just 3 template files (submit.tpl, header.tpl and detail.tpl)
This MOD will add 2 payment options Featured+ with 5 deep links and Regular+ with 3 deep links. The Featured and Regular will have no deep links. demo
To install the deep links mod, all you have to do is unzip the content of zip file below in the folder where your directory is installed (usually public_html). Overwrite all existing files and then run the installer by pointing to yourdirectory/install/index.php
You are done!
Downloaded a total of 2830 times
If you use a template that is not the default one, you still have some work to do. You will have to edit 3 files.
More details can be found here.
Important: This is for version 3.2

Hello,
Your mod has a flaw..
For one, it does not display the number of deeplinks..
just shows Featured+
see http://www.theopendirectory.biz/submit.php
and another..
when a user clicks on Featured with deeplink, and then clicks on no deeplink reciprocal, the deeplink fields remain on!!!

1. That’s not a flaw, you can add any text you want.
2. I see you installed it correctly now.

OK…
Am facing yet another problem.
Whenever I go about approving pending links in my directory, I see many links with the additional deeplinks filled in.
However, I see no payment received (all 5 deeplinks are filled), and no option of generating an invoice.
So, I believe, somehow, they just skip the payment option, or use a program that submits to the fields, even without having the need to display them.
Is there any way to prevent this?
I have to continuously delete useful sites because of they try to cheat the system by getting in and not paying for the deeplinks

I updated 2 files, deeplinks.js and submit.tpl
Overwrite the existing ones. This will delete the deep links if the fields are not displayed.

Thanks for the response.
By the way, am using a template.
So, have you also updated the page where you have given out the .tpl edits?
Because your .tpl file is for the default theme, while I am using a custom theme.
Or could you highlight the changes made to submit.tpl?
Thanks for the support, really appreciate it

Could you please respond ASAP?
Really need to implement that fix

Hello admin,
Could there be a way to disable the deeplink fields instead of just hiding them.
Because the submissions from automated forms still manage to get by.
If you want to know what I am talking about, take a look at
http://www.jeffbrowninc.com/submit.php
this guy has the javascript that actually disables the fields (they are visible), but disabled.
Is it possible to implement that in your mod?
That would make it a whole lot better.
Best regards,
Hamza

I have another problem in admin panel the links moves to the right because of many titles and urls and there is no horisontal scroll, so I can’t click links like edit, delete etc

@lifetalk
To disable the fields as well as hide them, replace the code in deeplinks.js by the following.
December 25th, 2007 at 3:19 pm
The above code made no difference, the URL’s and titles still get through, great MOD otherwise, is there any other way of doing it?

i fixed it
open submit.php
line 435 reads $RegularLink_notif = true;
under it add:

Hi,
first of all thanks for such a great mod.
i installed it, its working fine, however i noticed that my link sorting is not working on the link approve page.
dir_approve_links.php?sort=DATE_ADDED&sort_order=ASC&p=2341
it simply not sorting when i click on date to sort links date wise.
many thanks,
